Remember last week when I said I thought it was cold............well it turns out, that was child's play. This week is far colder. Brrrrrr!! Schools have been closed and so have some other local events. Over the weekend we saw a clip from Jimmy Kimmel - a montage of weather people commenting on how to deal with the cold weather they are having - in the 50's. My family and I were just laughing. 50's??? We are just hoping to be above zero sometime soon.
On to a more pleasant topic. It's What If? Wednesday at the Repeat Impressions blog. Yeay!!! I have to share a secret with you - this sketch had me stumped. Some sketches, you look at and you know exactly what you want to create - you can just 'see' it. This one really challenged me for some reason. I'm sure it wasn't really the sketch - its an awesome sketch, as always - the juices just weren't flowing for me for some reason. I lost my mojo for a moment. Must be the cold weather.
Here's the sketch - it really is awesome.
After much playing around and trying different things, this is what I came up with. I really am pleased with the end result.
Once I tipped the sketch on end, things seemed to come together much more easily. I used 2 Repeat Impression's images to creat this card. For the banners in the back ground, I used image 6006-M Forest Positive - I stamped it with Stazon and heat embossed it with black embossing powder. Then, for the verse in the focal point, I used 3109-F My Heart.....
Here's the close up - you can see the embossing on the banners here.
So.....how is your mojo flowing today? Are you ready to show us your 'take' on this sketch? I hope so!!! If you get a chance, play along with us. Link your card here on the Repeat Impressions blog and you will be entered in a random drawing to win an awesome prize - a $25 gift certificate to the Repeat Impressions store.
Please note - I am also entering this card in the following challenge
- 613 Avenue Create - Anything goes - w/Kraft - ends 1/27Thanks so much for stopping byJoyce

Hi Joyce! I love your version of the sketch. I would have flipped it too, I like it that way better. Love your comment about the cold weather being child's play last week! LOL! I'm in New England and it's been Arctic too!! And to top it off we had a fire at work and had to stand out in the cold for 10 minutes! Our eyes were watering and we were huddling together LOL! Thanks for playing in our neighborhood this week at 613 Avenue Create!
