Here is my definition of a slider card. Actually, I have 2 versions of this same card. I completed the card as seen in the photo here. I know someone who's expecting a baby, so when I saw this adorable row of ducks, 1612-G Ducks on a String, I knew that's the image I wanted to use for my slider. I love how the little chain of ducks slide across the card, however, it just seemed like something was missing. The upper half of the card just needed something.
After trying a few different ideas, I finally decided to add this little little whale tale accent to the upper left corner of the card.
I think that's just what the card needed to balance it out.....plus now you can see how the slider moves across the card.
Here is a close up.
So now its your chance to show us your definition of a 'slider' card - I'd love to see it. Create your own card, link it here on the Repeat Impressions blog, and you'll be entered in a random drawing for a $25 gift certificate to the Repeat Impressions store. That's an amazing prize!!!
I'm also entering this card in the following challenges:
- Great Impressions - Sketch Challenge - Month End
- Quirky Craft Challenge - Something New in Pink - Ends 1/18?
- Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge 142/Mark's Finest Papers - Moving Parts - End 1/18??
Thanks much for stopping by and I hope you'll play along
