This weeks Repeat Impressions DCC challenge was selected by Melissa - Celebrate Birthday's. We can never have enough birthday cards on hand so not only is this a fun challenge but it helps supply my card stash too. lol!!!
For my card I used 2 RI images. That adorable dancing bunny is 2610-J Jump For Joy. Seriously, isn't he just the sweetest thing? That vertical sentiment is also a RI image - 6104-J Birthday Vertical. RI has an amazing assortment of vertical images and sentiments.
The best part about a challenge is that you get to play
along. Create your own birthday card, link that card to the RI blog and you will be
entered into a random drawing for an unmounted
sheet of RI images. Wendy has quite an amazing selection
to choose from. Go here to see the complete rules.
Don't forget to go here to see the cards by the rest of the Repeat
Impressions RockStars.
I hope you get a chance to play along.

My husband and I are retired and I do crafts as we travel. It might be card making, it might be crocheting, or any number of projects

Meljen's Designs Challenge #224 - Hanging Out
Did you see this weeks challenge over at Meljen's Designs? - Hanging Out. It scared me little when I first read it, but it actually ended up being very fun. I have this super cute Meljen's image called Little Possum so that made it pretty easy for me. What says 'hanging out' more than a little opossum hanging from a tree. lol!!!
I hope you had a super weekend!

Stamping Bella - Bellarific Friday Blog Challenge
I'm just stopping in for a really quick post to show you a card I submit for this weeks Stamping Bella's Bellarific Friday's Inspiration Challenge. This weeks challenge is to use this photo as your inspiration. How fun is that??? I love all the fun and vibrant colors.
For my card, I used Stamping Bella image - Little Emmy. Emmy's quirky outfit along with all the brightly colored printed paper makes for a very fun card. That fun sentiment says it all.
Have a super weekend!

What If? Wednesday - Sketch A2014
It's What If? Wednesday at Repeat
Impressions and Wendy has an amazing sketch for us.
For my card, I used RI image 1320-M Spring Blossoms. I love this beautiful image. Since this image is on the tall side, I decided to flip the sketch to help everything fit better. I decided to have my 3 stripes go completely across the card. then I wasn't sure what I should use for the 3 embellishments along the right side but decided on these basic buttons to stick with the CAS look I had going on. It felt good to use an embossing folder. Its been a while.
So now it is your turn. Create your card inspired by this weeks sketch, link your card to the RI blog and you will be entered into a random drawing for an awesome prize - a $25 gift certificate to the Repeat Impressions store. You can see the complete rules here - at the Repeat Impressions blog.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

DCC - Blues
It's DCC Wednesday at Repeat Impressions and its my turn to pick the challenge - I've chosen blues.
For my blue card, I used one of my favorite RI images - 708-K Rebecca. I used blue, blue & more blue on this card. I colored her dress with blue Copic markers, matted with blue card stock, layered on a couple different styles of blue printed paper, then added a blue rhinestone flourish. Too much? I think its just right.
Don't forget to go here to see the cards by the rest of the Repeat Impressions RockStars.
I hope you get a chance to play along.

Tiddly Inks - Design Team Call
Tiddly Inks is having a design team call!! I love those adorable images - even have a separate Pinterest board for cards featuring Tiddly Ink's images. There is no way I can't let this challenge come & go without creating a card & giving it a shot.
I spent some time coloring some Tiddly Ink images to help me decide which I wanted to use on my card. Hmmmmm, after color all these, I still had a hard time decided which image to use. They are all adorable.
I finally decided on this adorable image called Teacher. Love her!!!! She turned out gorgeous whether I colored her as a black teacher or a white. In the end I chose the white version because my newly refilled Copic marker had dripped on the apple of the black teacher. Ugh! Frustrating but we all run into some roadblocks along the way. Some of my best creations are due to some oops I was trying to correct. I'll still use her somewhere along the way.
For my card, I used strips of washi tape on Kraft. I love how the colors stand out on the neutral card base. I kept this card pretty simple - letting that super cute image be the focal point.
There is still a few days left before this design team call closes on August 12th so you have a chance to participate too. Go to the Tiddly Inks blog to see the full details of how to participate. The more, the merrier. I know I enjoy seeing everyone's creations. Maybe I'll even pin a few to my Pinterest board.
I had a blast coloring all those adorable images, and especially creating my card. Fingers crossed that I get chosen but, no matter what, I had fun playing along.

Repeat Impressions - What If? Wednesday A0614
It feels like forever since I've posted on my blog. Hard to believe its only been a week. It's been a busy summer with beautiful, but mild, weather. All I know is that I want to make the most of each day, just in case we have a harsh winter like the last two.
I still have been able to sneak in some card making and I couldn't miss out on this weeks challenge at Repeat Impressions. It's What if? Wednesday so that means an awesome sketch.
So now it is your turn. Create your card inspired by this weeks

For my card, I used Repeat Impressions 9304-L Martini from the Pairings series. I also used RI's 9305-C Olives from that same series to pop that sweet little olive. That background paper has a lot of sparkle to it. Then I added a flourish of gems across the top of the card.
