Easter Place Cards/ Party Favors

I spotted these cute little treat favors on SCS this morning and just knew I had to make some.   They are so cute!!  I have been hoping to make a treat that can double as a place card - this is exactly what I had envisioned.  I have been having coloring with my copic markers the last few days, so this little project fit right in.  I had so much fun making these and now the ideas are just running through my head - baby shower favors, wedding favors, birthday party favors.  These would work for basically any occasion from baby to adult.

Here is my version ~

Aren't they fun???  2 Hershey Nuggets fit in each of these.  I don't have any Nuggets on hand, but I was so excited how these turned out, that I decide to post them as is and I will add the nuggets later.  I made a set of 8 and plan on posting them in my Etsy shop as soon as the Nuggets are securely in place.

I embossed just the front panel on these to give them some texture, then I really popped the banner to give it a wave and make it look like its flowing.

Some day I will figure out how to add a link to my Etsy shop on my side bar - on my list of things to do.

The weather is absolutely goreous here in Central WI ~ 50+ degrees on March 10th is pretty amazing, so it was just a super day, I got chores done around the house but still got a really good walk in with my DH and still had time to play.   You can't beat that.  A litte work, a little play - that's what life is all about.

Hope you had as great a day as I did.

  1. Joyce, thank you for linking my blog to your post. I think your version is really cute. I checked out your Etsy shop and you have some really cute items for sale. Do you do well with it? I've been thinking about trying Etsy but not sure I have the time right now.

I am also learning about blogging. I can already tell you are going to have a really nice blog. Good luck in figuring it all out. :)

    1. As you can tell, I'm just getting started on Etsy - just the few items but you gotta start somewhere, right? I work full time, so time is a major, major factor for me - or lack there of. I thiink that when I get more items posted, I will do better. Right now with just the few items, my stuff is just buried amongst the masses. I've scoped out what some other folks have on there, and they seem to be doing quite well based on their number of sales, but they have larger quantities of items up for sale.

Good luck to you as well.

BTW - I like you blog name. Generally, my user name is joyfulcrafts.
