First Send A Smile 4 Kids challenge of the new year

After a holiday break, Send A Smile 4 Kids is back with a new challenge - Valentines 4 kids. I can still remember those awesome Valentines parties when I was in grade school.  I loved trading Valentines. That was one of my favorite days of the school year.

That's what I was thinking about when making these cards but before I show them to you, I must tell you about our wonderful sponsors for this challenge.

1. Dollar Graphics Depot is giving one lucky winner a $15 gift certificate.
2. Bugaboo is giving 7, yes 7 digi images of the winners choice
3. Fred She Said is giving one lucky winner a $10 gift certificate.

A huge thank you goes out to those amazing sponsors.

Now for my cards.

The image on this first card is from Bugaboo called Ava Heart.   Isn't she the cutest?   She is perfect for that traditional looking Valentine.   I couldn't resist adding some bling with those heart rhinestones.

The image on this second card is from Dollar Graphics Depot from a set call the Valentine Mix by Prints of Joy.   The cuteness factor is off the charts today.  This whole set is adorable.

Since this is a challenge, we hope you'll get a chance to play along.  Link your creation to the SAS4K blog and you will be entered into a random drawing for those amazing prizes from our wonderful sponsors.   Remember, SAS4K also chooses a 'top 3' which is a huge honor.   You can go here to see the complete rules.

For more inspiration, you can go here to see the cards from all of the SAS4K design team.

SAS4K is always looking for great cards so if you have any you would be willing to donate, go here to see how to go about doing that.

What could be more fun than a snow man and this adorable image is from Dollar Graphics Depot - Brrrrrrr.............It's Cold Outside by Alice Smith.   This whole set of images is so cute but I especially love this tag.

The image on my 2nd card is from MilkCoffee Stamps - Boy With Rudolph Costume.  As cold as it has been around here, this is exactly how you need to dress up when going from place - a big heavy coat and a great hat like this one. So cute!!!

Send A Smile 4 Kids - Animal Cards 4 Kids

I love S.A.S.4K.'s Saturday.  Sometimes, even with a hobby like card making, I start to take things too seriously.  That all goes away with S.A.S.4K.'s Saturday.  I'm free to bring out the bright colors and just have fun.  The theme for this week's challenge is Animal Cards 4 Kids.  What could be more fun than these adorable animal images.  Soooooo cute!!!

The image on my first card is from Bugaboo.  I love Bugaboo images.   They are all super cute but especially all the little animals and critter images they have.  This is one of my favorites - it's called Giraffe heart 2.

Here's a close up so you can see how I popped it.  I'm not sure where this sentiment is from.   It's part of a mystery set I picked up at my local Goodwill.

The image on my second card is from Dollar Graphics Depot.  This adorable zebra is from the Baby Zoo Animals set - from the original artwork of Alice Smith.  How cute is he?!?!

Want to see a close up???

So, do you just want to have some fun? No seriousness, just some free spirited fun?   Pull out your animal images and create a card or maybe a few - remember, these cards should be kid friendly. Link your card(s) on the S.A.S.4K.'s blog, and you will be entered into a random drawing for some amazing prizes from this weeks sponsors. S.A.S.4K.'s also selects a 'top 3' so show us your talent and you may be spotlighted for it.  Go here to see the complete rules.

I haven't forgotten about our amazing sponsors for this weeks challenge.  A huge thank you to these special folks for their generosity.

• Dollar Graphics Depot is giving one lucky winner a $15 gift certificate.
• Bugaboo is giving one lucky winner 7 digital images of the winners choice.
• Fred She Said is awarding a $10 gift certificate.

Don't forget that Send A Smile 4 Kids is an amazing cause.   They collect hand made cards to be given out to kids who are patients at several children's hospitals across the country.  Won't you help brighten a childs day?  Go here to see the full details about how to donate you cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by

S.A.S.4K. - Pastel 4 Kids

Wooo hoooo!   It's a good day at our house.   It's my husband's birthday so our son is home for the weekend. Yeah!

It's also Send A Smile 4 Kids Saturday so we are introducing a new challenge - Pastel 4 Kids.

As always, we have some amazing sponsors giving some very generous prizes.

1. Dollar Graphics Depot - is giving a $15 gift certificate
2. A Day for Daisies - is giving a $12 gift certificate
3. QKR Stampede - is giving 5 digi images of the winners choice

Here's my first card.  This gorgeous images is called Book Time from A Day For Daisies.  I love this image because it reminds me of my son when he was little.  I know this is a little girl in the image, but when my son was little, he would 'read' all the time. Sometimes I would find him in his closet (not sure why he would go there). He would create a little nest for himself with blankets and pillows and would spend hours 'reading' even though he was too young to actually read a word.

Here's a closer look at this amazing image.

The image on this second card is from Dollar Graphics Depot.   Another super cute image!!

I think the soft pastel colors make it look even cuter.

For more inspiration, you can see the cards created by the rest of the S.A.S.4K. design team.  Then  its time for you to create a pastel card 4 kids.  Show us your card by linking it to the S.A.S.4K blog, and you will be entered in a drawing for those great prizes from our sponsors listed about.  Go here to see the full rules.

I hope you get a chance to play along

Send a Smile 4 Kids - Anything Goes 4 Kids

It's time for a new challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids (S.A.S4K) - Yeah!  The weather is still cool here so its a great time to snuggle in and make some cards......okay, anytime is a great time to make cards.  The great thing is the new challenge is "Anything Goes 4 Kids".   It doesn't have to Valentine's or winter or anything cold, it just needs to be a card that would brighten the day of a sick kiddo.  Oh, it does get even better - there are great prizes too.  Just link your card here - on the S.A.S.4K's blog and you have a chance these awesome prizes.

• Dollar Graphics Depot is awarding a $15 gift certificate
• Delicious Doodles is giving 4 digi images of the winners choice
• Joan's Gardens is treating 1 lucky winner to a $25 gift cerificate

Those are awesome prizes - what great sponsors!!!  The best prize of all - you can donate kid friendly card(s) here and they will go to brighten the day of kids who are in children's hospitals.  You definitely get more than you give.   Won't you help this amazing cause?

Here are my cards.....

The awesome image on this first card is from Dollar Graphics Depot - digital image created by designer Alice Smith.  Love it!!! You can't get a whole lot more kid friendly than that.

The image on my second card is from Delicious Doodles - It's called Fae.  Isn't she gorgeous? I love the whimsical butterflies fluttering around her so I made a point of extending them further off the image.  That is one huge perk of using digital images - you can make them whatever size you need.  I printed this same image a couple of times, each one just a little bit bigger to create the affect I was looking for.

and a close up to give you a better look

Be sure to go to the S.A.S.4K blog to get inspiration from the rest of the design team.  They have such amazing cards to share - you must see them.

Don't forget to link your card and please consider sending some cards in for this great cause.

I am also entering the following challenges:
