S.A.S.4K.'s - Cute Fall/Halloween Cards 4 Kids

It's been a while since we've had a challenge over at Send A Smile 4 Kids.  It's time for new one and we have a great one for you.  With the temperatures getting cooler, its time for some fall or Halloween cards 4 kids.  I'm not into the scary Halloween images so I love that we have some sweet images today.

Thank you to this weeks amazing sponsors:

1. Delicious Doodles - is giving one lucky winner 4 images of their choice.
2. The Paper Shelter - is giving a $20 gift certificate to their shop.
3. QKR Stampede - is giving 5 images of the winners choice.

Here is my 1st card.  This images is from Delicious Doodles.  How cute is this spider?    The 'boo' sentiment is something I cut out of some Halloween paper I had in my collection.

Here is my 2nd card.  This images is from The Paper Shelter.  This is a colored image - something new for me.  I think the little trick-or-treater is adorable - he's got quite the haul.

You can go here to the S.A.S.4K.'s blog and see what the rest of the Ladies have created for this challenge.  Then pull out your fall or Halloween images and create your own card for this challenge. Link your card on the S.A.S.4K.'s blog and you will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win a prize from those amazing sponsors I was telling you about.  You can go here to see the complete list of rules.

Don't forget, the S.A.S.4K.'s group collects donated kid friendly cards.  Those cards are then sent to children's hospitals across the country so that staff can distribute those lovely cards to ill children who are spending time in those children's hospitals.  It's an awesome cause.  You know how much a card can brighten your day.  Imagine what it would do for a sick kiddo.   Go here to see how you can donate your card(s).

Thanks so much for stopping by.

S.A.S.4K.'s Challenge - Using punches and/or dies on kids cards

It seems like FOREVER since we've had a S.A.S.4K.'s challenge.  I'm soooo glad its time for another one.   This week, we are being challenged to use punches and/or dies on cards 4 kids.  Awesome!!!!

As always, we have 3 amazing sponsors for this challenge and they are giving out some great prizes to our random winners.

1. Delicious Doodles - is giving 4 digis of the winners choice.
2. Sassy Studios - is also giving 4 digi images of the winners choice.
3. QKR Stampede - is giving 5 digi images of the winners choice.

Wow! A huge thank you to those amazing sponsors.

The image on my first card is from Delicious Doodles.  I'm lovin' these butterflies.  I added some punched butterflies - the large one is from glitter paper.  The others are cut from some speckles paper.  I blinged them up with some rhinestones.  That image is gorgeous and so easy to color.

Here's a close up for you.

On my 2nd card, I am featuring an image from Sassy Studios.  Isn't she gorgeous!!! I used one of my favorite border punches (I believe its a Martha) to accent the strip of paper down the middle.  Then I used that same border punch to create the flower embellishment.  I just HAD to add that huge rhinestone in the center of the flower.

The back ground paper is a medium blue shimmer paper.  It looks almost black on the full size card.  Hopefully you can see the actual color on this close up.  If you look closely, you can see that I also glitzed up her gown with some glitter gel pen.  I love the subtle effect that can have on an image, even if it doesn't show up real easily on a photo.

So remember, this is a challenge, so I invite you to play along.  Create your own kids card using punches and/or dies, link it back to the S.A.S.4K.'s blog and you will be entered in a random drawing for a chance to win some of those awesome prizes from our sponsors.  S.A.S.4K.'s also selects their top 3 cards so wouldn't it be great to be selected for that honor.

P.S. - S.A.S.4K.'s is a great cause, so please consider donating some of your cards - go here to see how to do that.  It's a great feeling to be able to put a smile on a sick kiddos face.  Help to make their stay in the hospital a little more pleasant - even if just for a moment.

Thanks for stopping by!

It's time for a new challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids (S.A.S4K) - Yeah!  The weather is still cool here so its a great time to snuggle in and make some cards......okay, anytime is a great time to make cards.  The great thing is the new challenge is "Anything Goes 4 Kids".   It doesn't have to Valentine's or winter or anything cold, it just needs to be a card that would brighten the day of a sick kiddo.  Oh, it does get even better - there are great prizes too.  Just link your card here - on the S.A.S.4K's blog and you have a chance these awesome prizes.

• Dollar Graphics Depot is awarding a $15 gift certificate
• Delicious Doodles is giving 4 digi images of the winners choice

Those are awesome prizes - what great sponsors!!!  The best prize of all - you can donate kid friendly card(s) here and they will go to brighten the day of kids who are in children's hospitals.  You definitely get more than you give.   Won't you help this amazing cause?

Here are my cards.....

The awesome image on this first card is from Dollar Graphics Depot - digital image created by designer Alice Smith.  Love it!!! You can't get a whole lot more kid friendly than that.

The image on my second card is from Delicious Doodles - It's called Fae.  Isn't she gorgeous? I love the whimsical butterflies fluttering around her so I made a point of extending them further off the image.  That is one huge perk of using digital images - you can make them whatever size you need.  I printed this same image a couple of times, each one just a little bit bigger to create the affect I was looking for.

and a close up to give you a better look

Be sure to go to the S.A.S.4K blog to get inspiration from the rest of the design team.  They have such amazing cards to share - you must see them.

Don't forget to link your card and please consider sending some cards in for this great cause.

I am also entering the following challenges:
